    The following is the chinese translations for the well-known "When you are old" by W.B.Yeats.

    I hope my translation has more or less done the marvelous masterpiece justice.

    And I dedicate them to a lovely girl.

    When You are Old

    When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
    And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
    And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
    Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;
    How many loved your moments of glad grace,
    And loved your beauty with love false or true,
    But one man loved the pilgrim Soul in you,
    And loved the sorrows of your changing face;
    And bending down beside the glowing bars,
    Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
    And paced upon the mountains overhead
    And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

    Translation:

    当你老了,发也灰了,睡意阵阵地在炉边打盹,

    请取来这诗,缓缓地品,

    回想你眼里曾有过的温存,

    和它深处那柔和的影

    多少人只爱你容光焕发的时刻

    或沉迷于你姣丽的芳颜,怀着真心,或者虚情...

    唯有一人独爱你那颗求索的心,朝圣者的灵魂

    爱着岁月在你脸上铺开的痛苦皱纹...

    火红的炉旁我弯下腰.

    轻声呢喃,语调悲凉

    爱的飞逝啊,不堪回望

    此刻的它似乎正在山顶踱着方步,

    让繁星们遮住它忧伤的面庞...
